The events of September 11, 2001, changed the people and therefore the entire United States forever. We saw 19 men attack us and murder our families, friends and loved ones right here in our own country with a magnitude we never before imagined. By a joint resolution approved December 18, 2001, by the Congress and as proclaimed by President Bush, September 11, of each year is designated as "Patriot Day."After the attacks on 9/11, the words defending our country took on new meaning as we began an offensive move which continues today to protect and insure the future freedoms of the families of this United States America. On Patriot Day, please take time for prayer in remembrance of the innocent victims, and pay tribute to the valiant men and women who risked their lives during that time so others would live. Thank God for the thousands who stand strong daily in their service to our country to protect and insure our lifestyle and freedoms.
